The Queen of Denmark visits the Center for Proteins in Memory (PROMEMO)

Last week, Queen Margrethe II visited our DNRF research center PROMEMO to learn more about the center’s research in molecular neurobiology.

PROMEMO is a part of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics which in January moved into the University City, which used to house the former Municipal Hospital (“Kommunehospital”).

The Queen visited PROMEMO and MBG to see how a hospital after three years of renovation has been transformed into a department with teaching and research laboratories.

Associate Professor Magnus Kjærgaard told the Queen about his research in molecular neurobiology and showed her, how the Basic Research Center PROMEMO studies the molecular mechanisms that control our memory.
