New book from the DNRF on basic research on the foundation’s website
Earlier this year, the Danish National Research Foundation published the book “Stories from the Borderland of Basic Research – Conversations with 25 Contemporary Researchers in Denmark” (Fortællinger fra Grundforskningens Grænseland – 25 samtaler med nutidige forskere I Danmark) in collaboration with the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters. The book is written by Professor Stine Falsig Pedersen, who takes the reader on a journey through 25 portraits of some of the researchers conducting basic research in Denmark in 2020 and, at the same time, provides an insight into what drives them. Each month starting in December 2020, we will post a new one of the 25 chapters, focusing on one portrait at a time. Therefore, follow our newsletter and explore the chapters as you like and as they are launched on our website under Newsroom.
September 3, 2020, was the day of the reception held for the publication of the book “Stories from the Borderland of Basic Research – 25 Conversations with Contemporary Researchers in Denmark.” Written by Professor Stine Falsig Pedersen, the book has been published by the Danish National Research Foundation in collaboration with the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters.
On the occasion of the publication, the foundation chose to dedicate a page on its website to launch the book digitally. Each month, we will highlight one of the book’s 25 chapters in the foundation’s monthly newsletter, starting in December 2020. As the chapters are introduced in the monthly newsletters, each chapter will be posted on the foundation’s website for download under “Fortællinger fra Grundforskningens Grænseland” in the foundation’s Newsroom.
