Three DNRF affiliated researchers get prestigious Starting Grant at the latest funding session from the European Research Council

Some say that all good comes to those who wait – and work hard for it. This has especially been the case for a total of eight younger researchers in Denmark at the latest funding session from the European Research Council (ERC) for free basic research.

Aspiring and hard working talents from all over the world fought hard to get the desirable and prestigious Starting Grants that each land on 1,5 mil. euro. Three out of the total eight Danish fundings were given to researchers with either current or former connection to a DNRF Center of Excellence at the latest funding session.

The three scientists that were given the prestigious ERC fundings are:

• Jonathan Shik from Center for Social Evolution
• Hans Christian Steen-Larsen from Center for Ice and Climate
• Jacob Lewis Bourjaily from Theoretical Particle Physics and Cosmology
