Søren-Peter Olesen

I have been the CEO of the Danish National Research Foundation since 2015. Prior to this, I was the center leader of the Danish National Research Foundation’s Center for Cardiac Arrhythmia at the University of Copenhagen and Rigshospitalet.

I am trained as a medical doctor and an electronics engineer. My research has focused on the membrane proteins responsible for the fast electric signaling in the heart, muscle, and brain.
