I have worked on the board of the DNRF since 2014. My background is in basic biomedical research and molecular biology. During my career, I have chaired the Medical Research Council of the Academy of Finland and the Finnish Advisory Board for Research Integrity, and I have served on several review panels for European funding agencies and foundations. This experience is obviously quite helpful in my role as a member of the DNRF board.
Since retiring from my professorship, I have been in the fortunate situation to be available to participate in many of the follow-up meetings of DNRF Centers of Excellence. These visits have given me real insight into top-level multidisciplinary research in all scientific fields in Denmark.
