New member appointed to the DNRF board

Stefan Hecht is a professor at the Institute of Chemistry at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and has extensive experience in leadership both within and outside the academic world.
Hecht said he is honored and pleased with his appointment to the DNRF board, where he looks forward to sharing his insights.
“Basic research is crucial because it provides us with the knowledge, we need to make the right decisions and ensure the development of society. The Danish research environment is unique with a strong focus on supporting science, education, and innovation. The Danish National Research Foundation plays an important role in the landscape, and I am deeply impressed by Denmark’s strategic focus on Centers of Excellence and its commitment to supporting excellent basic research.
We extend a warm welcome to Hecht and look forward to the collaboration.
