New research explains how human gene promoters become directional

Researchers at The Centre for mRNP Biogenesis and Metabolism have published results that offer a better understanding of the mechanisms of the human genome.

The researchers have found a mechanism that determines that thousands of non-coding RNA-molecules quickly disappear from cells while the molecules, which contain codes for protein production, are preserved.

The results are published in the journal Nature Structural & Molecular Biology.
