Info for Reviewers
These pages are intended for experts who are reviewing applications and evaluations submitted to the DNRF and for those who want to know more about the foundation’s assessment and evaluation procedures.
The DNRF uses international experts for two main purposes:
- Assessing new applications
- Evaluating existing activities
You can find more information on the selection criteria and the composition of the review panel in the menu to the left. You can also find relevant documents for assessment and evaluation within a specific funding instrument.
The processes used for assessment and evaluation are characterized by a qualitative approach with extensive use of peer reviews, individual review panels, and a high degree of transparency. Colloquially we refer to the model as a “double-open” peer review process, in which both the applicants and the reviewers know each other’s identity.
