Professor Miguel Araújo receives prestigious award in biogeography

Miguel Bastos Araújo (Brussels 1969), a full professor at the Copenhagen University’s Centre for Macroecology, Evolution and Climate, has been selected by the International Biogeography Society (IBS) to receive the 2013 MacArthur and Wilson Award that recognizes an early-research individual for a notable, innovative contribution to biogeography. The award is named in honor of Robert H. MacArthur and Edward O. Wilson and will be presented at the biennial meeting of the IBS in Miami, Florida, between the 10th and 12th January 2013.
