The Ostrowski Prize is given for extraordinary results in basic research in the mathematics

Professor Ib Madsen is one of the world’s leading mathematicians and is a co-PI at the Danish National Research Foundation’s Center for Symmetry and Deformation. The Ostrowski Prize amounts to DKK 600.000 and is given every other year by an international jury from the universities in Basel, Jerusalem, Waterloo and the Netherlands. It is given for extraordinary results in basic research in the mathematics.
