Oil droplets mimic early life

Associate Professor Martin Hanczyc’ research on how oil droplet mimic early life is mentioned in Nature News after being presented at the Royal Society in London.

By examining how oil droplets may be a possible precursor for early life, Martin Hanczyc has examined how the droplets e.g. move purposefully through their watery environment and metabolize fuel. These results have aroused international interest and Nature News has run an article on Martin Hanczyc’ research on their website.

Martin Hanczyc is associated with Center for Fundamental Living Technologies (FliNT) funded by the Danish National Research Foundation Professorship to Steen Rasmussen.
