The foundation’s Niels Bohr Visiting Professor Dale Mortensen receives the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences

The Danish National Research Foundation has the pleasure of announcing that Niels Bohr Visiting Professor Dale Mortensen has received the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel for 2010. Dale Mortensen receives the prize together with Peter A. Diamond and Christopher A. Pissarides for their analysis on markets with search frictions. The prize amounts to SEK 10 million.

Dale Mortensen is Professor of Economics at Northwestern University and is supported by the Danish National Research Foundation as Niels Bohr Visiting Professor at Aarhus University, where he is carrying out research in labour market dynamics and growth.
